Join us every Monday at noon at Studio B in Pocatello(365 Yellowstone Ave) for a free trauma-centered yoga class that is open to the community. Trauma is often stored in the body, restricting movement and choice. For some people, that means that they have reactions to stressors that they don’t feel like they can control. Sometimes trauma can cause people to feel unsafe, disconnected from their bodies, isolated from others, and out of control. Yoga is a practice that can help to rebuild a sense of safety, connection, and choice.
This is a nervous system balancing class that incorporates active movement and restorative stretches, as well as breathing and mindfulness. The class focuses on the needs of class members, helping them to be curious and make choices about their own physical practice, as they connect with their bodies in a safe space. This is a group practice, offering opportunities to meet and connect with others, with space to enjoy individuality and autonomy over your own practice.
